Fine-dining restaurant Waku Ghin – helmed by celebrity chef Tetsuya Wakuda – has opened at Marina Bay Sands. The restaurant features a unique dining concept where diners move from room to room while enjoying a 10-course degustation menu priced at SGD325 (USD239) per person. With just 25 seats in the restaurant and a stunning floor-to-ceiling view of the Singapore cityscape, the gastronomic experience promises to be exclusive and intimate.
Chef Tetsuya will be based at the restaurant for six months of the year. The menu showcases a blend of European and Japanese culinary influences with dishes such as the Marinated Botan Shrimp with Sea Urchin and Caviar as well as the Australian Wagyu with Wasabi and Citrus Soy.
Waku Ghin is Chef Tetsuya’s second restaurant, after Tetsuya in Sydney. The restaurant features a sake bar and caviar lounge, four private dining rooms, and a drawing room for after-dinner drinks and dessert. The restaurant is open from 6–10:30pm daily, except Mondays. Located on the second floor of the Marina Bay Sands casino, Waku Ghin is also accessible from The Shoppes.
